Better so soon?
Thank you to everyone who expressed their sympathy for my pain! I was already feeling much better this morning, and while I'm still in some pain, I am back on a normal schedule again. Thank goodness! I'm still taking my medication, so I'm thinking by the end of the day tomorrow I should be back to normal. I'm really hoping it doesn't become a regular thing because it came on so suddenly I don't think I could have reacted any faster, but I still lost a day to it. I'll just keep my mental fingers crossed!

I wish this post didn't exist...
It's 1:45 on a Monday and I'm sitting at home, which most of you know is unusual. I have a urinary tract infection, and I swear if I continue to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes, I'm going to pull my own hair out. Or my palms will be destroyed after I've squeezed my nails into them 400 times...
I've already been to my gynecologist and taken my first prescription pill. Once I told the DF the symptoms this morning he agreed with my fear and told me to make an appointment. I waited for an hour in her office but I was so glad she squeezed me in. I had hoped to go back to work, but what's the point when you get nothing done? And I feel a hundred times better already just being home and being able to use my own bathroom without everyone hearing me.
This is my first UTI, but I know all of you women have had them. Comment and tell me that you've had 30 or that yours caused you to pass out, so that I can convince myself to get over it already because this isn't a big deal (because it isn't...unless I have kidney stones...).

Two posts in two days!
Yep, I'm posting again, though not about anything too exciting. The DF and I went rollerblading around our apartment complex yesterday, and we had a really good time. It's been a few years since I rollerbladed, but I didn't fall, so that's a good thing. The DF is on call again today, so I don't think we'll be able to go again, but we might. We'll leave the apartment complex at some point, but it's really big, so it's easy to just stay here for now.
I didn't make it to Katie's yesterday, but I did get to see a good part of Kyle's baseball game. The twins had a soccer game before that, but I missed it. I'll try to go to their game next Saturday instead. The weather is really nice this weekend, and it's been forever since I saw any kid sports. I had fun chatting with Katie, too, but I hear she's sunburned! I'll get over there today to see her clothes. Enjoy the nice weather again!

Today's Schedule
My apartment complex is having a health fair, and I had hoped to donate blood, but I'm just not feeling up to it today. It's allergy season, so I feel a little under the weather many days. Maybe I'm a little afraid I'll pass out, which is common when I donate. I might be getting sick of that feeling. Anyway, I think I'm going to stop by and see what's going on, but pass on donating. I feel bad but not bad enough, I suppose.
I think I'm going to swing by Katie's too because she just went shopping yesterday, and I'm always excited about seeing someone's new clothes! (Moreso when they're mine!)
And I've been meaning to mention that the DF and I bought some in-line skates this week. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods, but they don't have a great selection in the stores. Anyway, you can view mine here and the DF's are pretty similar, just in black and red. I was going to buy ones that were gray and blue, but they didn't fit as well as these. So, I'm stuck with pink. Why couldn't they just have solid black or gray? Oh well. They fit well, so I'm excited to get to use them. Everyone enjoy the nice weather!

Back to normal again.
Things are running smoothly around here (knock on wood!). The DF and I took the short drive to see our families over Easter weekend, which was great as always. Now I'm back to doing chores around the apartment. I've started one of three loads of laundry, emptied the dishwasher, and hand cleaned the random dishes that can't go in the dishwasher. I need to iron some "hang dry" clothes from the last load of laundry I did, though, and of course I'll have some that will be drying tonight as I'm finally ironing last week's. I don't mind ironing - it just takes me forever to get around to it. It doesn't help that this batch includes only my clothes. I feel an obligation to get the DF's shirts done quickly but apparently mine can wait a week...I guess that's a sign that I have too much clothes if a bunch of them can sit wrinkled for a week and I don't notice. Don't tell the DF!!
Speaking of clothes, I just bought a super cute pair of shoes from DSW.com (in brown) and a wristlet (in green) too. The shoes are here and the wristlet is here. I got them on sale too because I had a $10 off coupon and I got free shipping. Pretty exciting stuff, I know!

Second place rocks!
As many of you know, UNC scored 89 points on Monday, so I came in second place. But I won $33, so I'm pretty happy with myself. I suppose I should share some with the DF since they were mostly his picks...

Important final game tonight!
I am tied for first in my office pool - how exciting! The person I'm tied with also picked Michigan State and North Carolina to play tonight and we both picked UNC to win. This means that it comes down to the score we predicted. I picked 78-60 and the other person picked 81-74 or something close to that. I didn't read the rules, but apparently it comes down to the winner's score. If the winner scores more than 80 points, I lose and place second, but if the winner scores less than 80 points, I win! Either way I will win some money, so that's exciting! Everyone root for a low scoring game!!

Goodies!
It takes surprisingly little time to bake snickerdoodles and make fudge. The former is going to our friend Eddie (and his roomies) and the latter is going to Mike and Emilie (and Mike's British parents who are visiting from across the pond). Tasty!!
