Busy Weekend

I'm starting to prepare for our somewhat busy weekend coming up. The DF's friend Jenny is coming over Friday and staying the night. We plan to show her around a little bit and eat at Mitchell's Fish Market. She's leaving sometime Saturday, and then my brother Tommy is coming up to stay the night that night. Then we're going to Kyle's birthday party/Bouncy Castle party on Sunday. I'm pretty pumped about this because I haven't been in a bouncy castle for forever! It should be good fun. I'm also excited about being off on Monday. I'm hoping that the DF won't have to work either so that he can stay an extra night here with me once things have calmed down a bit. So exciting!!

Also, if you haven't already, check out Katie's site for pictures of the yarn convention. We all had a really great time teasing each other and laughing at weird knitters. Katie also sold a ton of stuff! She got a great response from people there and got some great wholesale orders and leads on other sales. At one point Liz and I were dumbfounded when Katie muttered, "I can't believe people are buying this stuff..."!! We were thinking, "Uhh, isn't that the point? And isn't that good?" I think she's just so clueless about how great her products are. She'll catch on someday when she's running a huge business. I told her not to forget about her peeps when that happens. :)

Here's another Michael Phelps picture. It's a shout out to Katie and her success this weekend. Do you see their connection? He won 8 gold medals and Katie had an awesome convention. It's practically the same thing!

It's yarn, fool!

Everybody I know is getting a big kick out of the fact that I'm going to a yarn convention this weekend. If you don't know, I'm helping Katie sell her awesome products there, along with Greg's sister Liz. Tonight I've been doing laundry, packing, ironing, cleaning the apartment, and cutting index cards for Katie's drawstring bag products. I know I'm forgetting stuff, but what can you do? I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of all the yarn because I know that's the stuff you really look for when you read my site. Have a good weekend, everyone! :D

Birthday Fun

Thanks to everyone who sent me cards and texts wishing me a happy birthday! I had a really good day. The DF bought me The Office dvd board game (I already beat him...hehe), which I'm really excited about. At work on Friday my boss brought in a cake, and he even had them put my name on it, which nobody at work ever does. I took a picture of it with my phone because I was so excited. Thanks again, everyone!!

Somebody get me some Coreg

Michael Phelps nearly gave me a heart attack at the end of his race tonight! I hope you all watched it. If not, boy, did you miss out. He won the gold by one one hundredth of a second, which is the smallest margin you can win by. He had to catch up, and he got the gold by taking an extra half stroke while the silver medal winner glided too long instead of taking another stroke. It was awesome! One more to go! Here's a pic of Phelps actually showing a lot of emotion after winning, which was the only time I've seen that other than the medley when they beat the Frenchies. Great stuff!!

More Hot Pics!

I have nothing exciting to say, so here are more pics of Michael Phelps. I even included one with a woman for the guys. I think it's Kate Bosworth, but who cares. Everybody root for Phelps tonight!

Michael Phelps

I can't seem to get enough of Michael Phelps this Olympics. Really I can't seem to get enough of the entire Olympics. I don't remember watching too much of the 2004 games; who knows what I was doing instead. Regardless, Michael Phelps has a nice body (understatement of the century), so I'm posting pictures of him for all the ladies out there! On a related note, they said on tv that Phelps is supposed to eat between 8,000 and 10,000 calories a day! And yet he can't seem to break 200 pounds. I could eat 8,000 calories for 3 days and be over 200 pounds! Seriously! Anyway, here's your first couple of pics.

An evening at the fair

As Katie mentioned on her blog, the DF and I went with her and Greg to the Indiana State Fair on Saturday. I had a breaded tenderloin, which was decent, and an elephant ear, which was great! Katie and I rode on the scrambler together, as you can see below, and we all rode on the big ferris wheel. The DF took a couple of pictures while we were on top. I had a really good time, and I'll probably plan on going next year too. Seeing some of the livestock and eating the food made it worth it for me. :D

Final painting project

While the DF was here over the weekend I decided to do one last painting project. The full bathroom is really boring - no decorations, no color, no nothing. So the DF and I went to Lowe's and picked out a pretty shade of blue to paint one wall. The room's too small to paint the whole thing this color, and to be honest, that's just more work than I'm willing to put into an apartment. Anyway, here are the before and after pics. These are the best angles I could give you. They at least show something other than blue wall. :)

Hmm, thanks, Blogger. I can't load any pictures...I'll put them up as soon as I can. For now, I will leave you in suspense!

Edit like 3 minutes later: The suspense is over - yay!
