The aftermath!

The DF and I had a great Christmas week with our families. Most of my readers were there for a least parts of it, so I won't go into detail. I will say that we got two new awesome appliances (I've made both waffles and coffee already!) and I got a new addictive book series, the Sookie Stackhouse series that the show True Blood is based on. I'm currently halfway through the fourth one. They're quick reads, though. Regardless, we had a great time and say thanks to everyone!

Now I'm dealing with the reality. Our friends Mike and Emilie are coming for New Years (yay!), but I have lots of things to do in the meantime. Today I went to the bank and got my jewelry inspected for their warranties and got my new (Bulova!) watch resized. I am getting ready to take the tree down after dinner. Ordinarily we'd leave it up until January, but taking it down will give us more space. I'm also doing two loads of laundry tonight. Tomorrow I'm getting my oil changed before work and going to the grocery store after work. I need to clean the whole apartment too, which will probably take forever! It won't be too bad, but I do need to do some deeper cleaning in the shower, entryway, and kitchen so those will take the longest. We'll see how it goes! :)
