Tour of Gymnastics Champions

The DF and I went to the Tour of Gymnastics Champions last night at Conseco. I was really excited about it, even though it was geared more toward younger girls. There were plenty of adults and couples there, but the band and other entertainment was a little too young for me. Almost all of the women's team from this year's Olympics were there, and all of the men's team, including the Hamm brothers, were there. They didn't do full Olympic routines so that they could avoid injury, but it was still a lot of fun to watch. The men's performances were more entertaining because they could do some basic skills that still are pretty entertaining, whereas the girls didn't do flips the full length of the beam, or more difficult dismounts, etc. The men didn't wear shirts for most of it, so that was worth the price of admission for me. :)

You weren't supposed to take pictures, even though tons of people were, and the lighting was probably pretty distracting enough. The DF and I didn't take very many pictures and tried to avoid taking many during routines, so as a result, we don't have very many good pictures. I'll include some below anyway, just to prove we were there. And I'm including one of me and the DF. (That's not my coat, by the way. Stacy and I traded at work earlier in the day.)

You should have had your picture taken with one of the guys in the picture above (or would Steve let you?)>

Steve, I'm sorry buddy, but you are losing major points off your man-card for attending an event of this nature. LOL

My records stand. Sarah only had a couple of tries to regain her records and made a valiant effort. My only hope is that she doesn't have a chance to practice.
